- 1 Cup of Ivory Teff Seed
- 2 Cups of Water
- 2 Cups of Milk
- 2 tbsp of Maple Syrup
- 1 tsp Vanilla Bean Paste
1. In a large pot, add the teff grains, milk and water and bring to a rolling boil. Once boiling, turn the heat down to medium, and continue to cook for about ten minutes, or until a porridge like consistency has been reached. Be sure to stir the porridge regularly to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pot.
2. Once cooked, stir through the maple syrup and vanilla bean paste. You can also add some spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg, or berries, to give the porridge a pink hue.
3. Remove from the heat and divide into two large bowls. Top with yoghurt, nuts, berries or other fruit.
